Guess who spent her lunch time putting together a Hello Kitty puzzle? Yup, me. I was cleaning out part of my room and found this puzzle unopened. Loving a distraction from my main task of cleaning I started putting it together.

Pool pt. 1

As it's my first summer in Antioch I've been really itching to go swim in our pool. One problem, the pool has a leak. It's driven us crazy the past month or so trying to figure out what we could do to fix it ourselves, finally we've given in and called the pool leak detector who found the problem area within an hour.

See me clearing out the rocks here to later dig around the area ourselves. (Me & the family can't help but investigate.)

So then we dug… and dug… and dug some more.

We found the pipes alright and saw water slowly pooling at the bottom but no for sure area so we figured we were going to need take out the fence post.

Until! We found this and collectively cursed into the sky. This is a pipe for a sprinkler system in our backyard. A sprinkler system that does not have a purpose and does not work but it yet full of water. Oh joy.

So this weekend will be trying to successfully breaking and capping this off.

Nifty weekend finds

Some weekends I have great luck on stumbling upon really neat things.

I have no idea if this clock works or not as I haven't bought a new battery for it but it's so neat on it's own!

This I found for free, it's a belt buckle. I've named him Peppito.

Shoes because I'm a girl. Duh. They aren't chucks though so that's something isn't it?

Another free item and again I have no idea if it works. I think it needs a new battery but it looks alright otherwise.

And a peak at something I will probably use as a prop in photos later on.

I was planning to make a photo post of my father throughout the years but my scanner has been giving me hell. So in honor of Fathers day I give you adorable photos of my cats. (I'm not a crazy cat lady... much)

Basic cooking... kinda

It's my first summer in Antioch and holy crap is it hot! Lately I've been giving into temptation and eating ice cream whenever I've felt hot and need a quick cool off. The only problem? The guilt of eating soo much ice cream, knowing fully well it's not good for me. Then I found these posts; Twins that Blog & Choosing Raw. At first I thought no freaking way would this work out but I decided to try it.

It's really quite simple; chop up bananas, put in freezer, once frozen throw in food processor with a bit of milk (fat free or otherwise), blend for five minutes, you now have frozen yogurt like banana-ey goodness.

Now here are two things I learned and changed when I made this the second time.

1) My food processor refused to really blend evenly so I tried my regular blender for a shorter amount of time, consistency turned out perfect.

2) Even with chocolate syrup it really does need a second kick of flavor so I added peanut butter, delicious.

So there you have it, a healthy alternative to ice cream that's incredibly simple to make. Enjoy!

Adjusting

Lately I've been cleaning/organizing my room as much as I love my new room it is a bit smaller than my old one and therefore gets a bit messy quick. The biggest problem though is the dreadful, awful, and gross white carpet! As much as I've tried not to I've spilled things over and over again leaving stains everywhere. And then came the last straw, my cat puked on the carpet.

I decided my best point of attack would be the carpet changes to tile, I grabbed a few tools and started pulling.

So far alright, under carpet padding and such.

And then comes the disappointment, plywood! Oh damn damn damn, I was so hopeful. I will not lose my determination for wood floors though! A Christmas gift to myself maybe?

The beat

This past Saturday we headed to the city to watch the USA vs England game which was being played (televised on their huge screen) at the AT&T park. I and another rooting for England and the others USA, honestly I had no favorite in that game (my teams Germany) so I just picked the team I thought most likely to win. We had no idea how swamped the place would be, it was ridiculous! The game was great but I was getting increasingly hungry and kept longing to go over to the carnival in the parking lot across the street from the ballpark. See that ferris wheel? It's important.

After the game we headed over to the carnival and I wolfed down my favorite guilty pleasure food, carnival nachos. There is nothing better in the world that nachos in those crappy little paper plates, I will kick a puppy in the face for a plate of carnival nachos. Delicious carnival nachos, fuck I'm getting hungry. Anyways… after we ate someone said "hey lets go on the ferris wheel!" My stomach turning over should've given me a clue not to agree with this but I went along anyways.

Everything seemed fine until I sat down inside one of the carriages my brain then screamed, "THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. NOT A GOOD IDEA AT ALL." The ferris wheel began to move and then we stopped at almost the very top, I realized at that moment I might have a fear of heights. Then someone said to me "Are you ok?" "Please don't talk to me." I replied in a very unlike me tone. "Don't worry it's totally safe." I'm not a very superstitious person but I had to bite my tongue to yell out "DON'T SAY THAT YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" Do you not know that after saying that in any movie that's the part where everyone dies!? Suddenly every rusty bit of the ferris wheel magnified in my eyes and I prayed in my head, "Please I don't want to die in a ferris wheel accident please please please that's such a lame way to go out I'm not even fighting a bear." Needless to say when we got off the ride I was the first one out and off the platform on to safe earth. I then ate half a funnel cake in celebration of still being alive, it gave me a stomach ache, oh bittersweet life.

Behind the 365

Here's a tiny look into today 365 photo as I will try to do every so often.

Aww aint she cute! What I'm wearing is what I call my "topless shirt" basically because it's very useful for make up application and pulling it down slightly gives the appearance in photos that I'm topless (OMG IM RUINING THE DREAM!). Laptops open with the inspiration photo to help with some of the lines on the face. I totally have that dashing big eye little eye thing going don't I?

So here we are with the black eye make up on. I first drew a few lines with eyeliner to guide me and then brought out the cream eye shadow and filled in the gaps. I then realized I didn't put foundation on (crap!) which helped even out and paled my complexion.

First thought that comes to mind? Some kind of love child between Red Mist and the Road Warriors. I changed from blue to red for two reasons; it would look cooler with my hair & I have no blue shadow. Yes I was watching QI while doing my make up which I soon realized was a mistake as I poked myself in the eye with a brush while laughing.

Story time

Once there was a girl who didn't know how to do her laundry. Usually she would drag a bag of her clothes to the washing machine, leave, and then the next day they would appear in another bag magically cleaned. Then one day when she came back to pick up her laundry she saw that it wasn't cleaned but still dirty and so it was the next day and the next. Well she couldn't stand for this so she decided she would battle the washing machine monster and make it clean her clothes.

First there was the sorting, a much difficult task for our heroine. Dark, lights, and colors sounded simple only to drive her insane. Well these are both blue but this ones brighter but bolder but not too dark but if its put into the wash with the other colors it might blotch them all. Eventually after much cursing and shaking fists she sorted her clothes in four piles; darks, lights, bright colors, & dark colors.

Then the battle began. The washing machine monster gave a tough fight but the girl was determined. After much kicking and punching she finally managed to get her clothes into the washing machine.

Finally the washing machine spat out her clothes reluctantly but clean. She went outside her clothes in hand, hanging them up on the line a victorious smile on her face.

Throughout my two years of 365 I've gotten a lot of weird messages and it is to be expected because that's what happens when you put yourself out there. Though I've gotten one in the past week that just makes me have to write. I recently posted a photo of me showing off my new hair color while wearing a plaid shirt, key words plaid shirt. Next day I got a message basically stating: YOU ARE SOOOO SEXY!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE PLAID SHIRTS WILL YOU SEND ME SOME PHOTOS TO MY EMAIL!!!!

I mean I'm flattered for the first bit but then…wha? I don't bash on people fetish's (except feet, that's just fucking weird) and I'm not here but it just surprised me and made me think back to all the odd messages I've seen and thought I should lay out some guide lines.

• DONT USE CAPS (basics of the internet and honestly are you trying to make me imagine your yelling because your ready to jizz all over your keyboard? That's just a mess.)
• AlSo DoNt TaLk LiKe ThIs (come on what the fuck?)
• Don't say "In my country we find it sexy" (Do you really think that's going to change my mind? Really?)
• Don't immediately send links to photos telling me to pose like this when the person in the photos are holding out their cock (Though I'm not surprised that I get mistaken for a tranny on Flickr, I used to wear a binder in some photos, it just gets downright annoying sometimes)
• Don't start the conversation with a photo of your cock (common sense! And please stop taking your nudes in the bathroom be a man and go out in your front lawn)

One last thing...

When leaving a comment on photos of someone you don't know:

"mmmmmmmmmmmm sexxxxxxxxxy" Unacceptable

"That's sexy!" Acceptable

Although the first is flattering it is only so when it's from someone I know in that way already.

I feel like slightly defending them though because I suppose they do this in the hope that they will get the response back of, "oh fuck yes im soooooo into that!!!" Unfortunately the rest of the world sees it as really creepy pervs. Pervs are great they really are but there's a line like in so many things that once it's crossed you are now that dude who mumbles to himself, has semen encrusted on his pants, and smells like foul B.O. Take it one step at a time lads, one step at a time.
